The Angler's Club of New York is a members club at 101 Broad Street in lower Manhattan for people interested in angling.. It is adjacent to the Fraunces Tavern.

The club was founded in 1916 and in 1940 was established on the second floor of the adjoining tavern. The club had no external signage denoting its presence when a reporter for the New York Times visited the club in 1975. The food at the club was initially supplied by the Fraunces Tavern, and sent to the club by dumbwaiter. An argument between the two managers of the establishments saw an end to the culinary practice.

An honor medal presented by the Angler's Club was donated by Carl Otto Kretzschmar Von Kienbusch to the collection of the New-York Historical Society.

Membership
The total number of members was estimated at 250 in 1975, with 150 members outside New York. The cost of annual membership was $125 in 1975 (equivalent to $601 in 2020). Prominent members have included the United States Presidents Herbert Hoover and Dwight Eisenhower. Hoover's collection of dry flies were "gathering dust but still venerated" in 1975. The financier and conservationist Laurance Rockefeller was a notable member in the 1970s. A member described the club as "a dusty, friendly luncheon club, where the only excitement had been the arguments between the men who fish for trout and the men who go after salmon" to the New York Times reporter John Corry in 1975. The club did not admit women members at the time of the New York Times visit.

Best blanket hoodie
Color: Mellow Rose, Size: Standard
I own one and loved it so much, I decided to buy for my friends as a gift when the weather was cold. They also loved it. It’s very soft to touch and perfect to cuddle in during winter to keep yourself warm

Warm and Cozy
Size: Adult, Style: Solid, Color: Grey
Bought the adult version in grey for my little brother for Christmas. He absolutely loves it! He wears the thing all the time. He sleeps in it, plays computer games while wearing it, and lounges around the house in it. When washing and drying the washer is fine but I recommend letting it air dry or putting it on tumble dry to prevent the white cotton from bunching up to keep it soft. It is very soft, a good weight, good quality, and size. He does not use the robe tie. My brother is 6 foot and the pocket hangs low but is really big. The pocket is durable—He puts our house cat in the pocket and carries her around in it. He loves this Snuggie and was so excited to get it for Christmas.

Buy it!!! Long, soft, warm winter perfection! ( updated after wear)
⚠️ WARNING ⚠️ You'll want to hibernate all winter in it ! 😆 I'm a 5'10" female and THIS THING IS LONG ENOUGH! (If you're tall, you'll understand why I yelled that part lol) I bought the oversized option. It grazes the top of my feet without dragging the ground, which is literally perfect. 👌 It comes vacuum sealed, so pop it in the dryer when you get it to fluff it up. It is so incredibly soft both inside and out, but particularly so on the inside. Its large enough to be fully dressed underneath, but when you feel the softness & warmth - you probably wont want to be. I wasn't sure about the cuffed sleeves, but once I put it on I realized how much better they are than the open type sleeves of another brand I ordered. They allow you to retain 100% function while wearing a blanket, essentially keeping it from getting in your way. I purchased this bc I'm always cold, and also because it just looked so comfortable. It did not disapoint on either front. It's heavy without feeling weighted , and warm without making me sweat. I opted for the tan / beige option, and it was pretty close to the photo color wise. In person the fabric has a tiny bit of sheen/ reflectivity that almost gives it a slight gold tint in some light. Overall though, true to color. Seriously, I think this thing might be perfect. I plan to order additional colors before word gets out and they sell out lol *EDIT TO UPDATE*** Ive been wearing these things all winter ( yes, I purchased another lol) and after repeated wear and washing I will say that they DO lose a little fluff on the faux shearling side (the inside) and the edges have begun to shed a tiny bit. I've been wearing them A LOT though, we're talking about a dozen runs thru laundry at least... not something that happened immediately. And honestly, it wasn't to the point that I noticed it much... until the next one arrived and reminded me how much fluffier they start off lol I would still buy it... just a small update with wear update worth noting.

Love it!
Very comfy and warm. It’s soft and fuzzy and I love it. I will say I’m not a huge fan of the Sherpa fabric at the bottom, not because it’s not soft, just because this material, in general, seems to easily get bits of stuff stuck in it. The snuggie is slight too long (I’m 5’4) so it touches the ground sometimes and it will pick up sticks and grass and food material. I live on a farm and even if I did nothing but vacuum all day there would still be stuff on the floor and I don’t have time to vacuum all day! So, I dislike the Sherpa material going all the way down and folding like it does at the bottom. However, I’ve been extra careful with this one, and I’ve been able to physically pick any debris caught in it. I am contemplating actually cutting it and re-sewing it ever-so-slightly shorter with the outer material folded and sewn inward instead of the internal Sherpa fabric folded outward. Apart from that, it’s roomy, and I actually like the hood, which I didn’t think I would. The pocket is nice sized and also lined with Sherpa fabric. I don’t actually use the pockets to keep my hands warm but more like a kangaroo pouch to transport things like my phone, book/Kindle, or snax as I’m walking with my hands full. I travel with this thing because I’m always cold and it’s amazing. I fly with it. Yeah, I don’t care if I’m wearing this in public at the airport/on a plane, you know why? Because I’m cozy! Flight delayed? Oh, I’ve got my wearable blanket, I’m gonna nap in comfort! 😝 Airplane AC on Arctic Blast? Ha! I’m in an impenetrable cocoon of warmth and with the hood up, you can’t see me, mouth agape, as I sleep so attractively in public. You couldn’t handle seeing me that hot anyway, I’m doing you a favor! 😂 Oh, also, I took it to the hospital with me (because hospitals are basically morgues) so I washed it on hot to sanitize it. It didn’t shrink or ruin it at all, it’s fine.
